The society is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and monetary donations are tax deductible. To contribute to our ongoing crowdfunding campaign for our new layout exhibit, please see the donation widget on the right side of our blog/website. Monetary donations may also be made by personal check, money order, or by cash in person at our station during our meeting hours. If you wish to mail us a contribution using a check or a money order, please contact us at email@example.com so we may provide you with the required information we need for tax purposes and for our secure mailing address. Please DO NOT mail donations to our Jordan Road address as we cannot guarantee the security of your donation.
Model Train Donations
Model train donations are also tax deductible. Please email us at cnymrrchs@ gmail.com with the items you are looking to donate, pictures of the items, and their approximate value if known. The society will gladly accept the following items either new or previously owned in excellent condition:
DCC ready or DCC sound-equipped locomotives from Athearn, Atlas (Including Trainman), Bowser, Broadway Limited Imports, Intermoutain, Kato, Rapido, ScaleTrains.com, and Walthers (Proto line only). Items should be in their original boxes with paperwork if possible.
HO scale rolling stock from Accurail, Athearn (RTR line or Genesis), Atlas (Including Trainman), Bowser, ExactRail, Intermountain, Kato, Rapido, ScaleTrains.com, and Walthers (Mainline and Proto).
HO scale structures from DPM, Pikestuff, and Walthers Cornerstone.
Scenery materials from Scenic Express and Woodland Scenics.
Donations of railroadiana items for our historical collection are tax deductible. The society will gladly accept photographs, artifacts, or other items, in good condition, relating to the following railroads: New York Central, Lehigh Valley, Skaneateles Shortline Railroad, Penn Central, Amtrak, Conrail, Finger Lakes Railway and CSX.
